I’ve always loved to garden. One of my first memories is putting a tomato plant in the ground for my father. When I was 14 years old a church friend went into her garden and dug up a clump up of Siberian Iris and gave it to me in a trash bag to get it home. That small bit spread through division into clumps in my garden at my childhood home. When my parents moved and I began to build my new garden I gathered one small clump from that original and now after just a few years of division my garden is filled with them.
Why do you need these in your yard? First, they are almost fool proof and grow in profusion. Second not only are the small flowers spectacular but the leaves add texture to any garden. So, find a friend with some and ask for a small division that will give and keep giving for decades to come!
