Ford vs. Ferrari: Why Precision Matters in Real Estate

I completely understand why people weigh different options when choosing a real estate agent. It’s a fair and thoughtful consideration. At the same time, buying or selling a home is one of the largest financial decisions most people will ever make. My responsibility as a Realtor is to help you maximize every dollar, every negotiation advantage, and every strategic move that impacts your final outcome.

That’s where I like to use a simple comparison: Ford vs. Ferrari.

Ford sells millions of cars every year. Ferrari sells a fraction of that. Both are successful brands—but they’re built for very different purposes. Ford excels at mass production and volume. Ferrari is known for precision, performance, and elite craftsmanship. When something requires expertise, strategy, and attention to detail, the difference matters.

Real estate works the same way.

Many of the “top producers” you see advertised are actually large teams built on volume. In those models, clients are often passed from the agent they first meet to assistants or transaction coordinators. While that system works for some, it can mean less direct involvement and less strategic focus. High-volume teams also often rely heavily on purchased online leads and operate across multiple markets rather than specializing deeply in one.

I’ve chosen to work differently.

I intentionally work with fewer clients, focus deeply on this specific market, and consistently sell at higher price points. My business comes almost entirely from referrals and a luxury lead source limited to a single zip code. That structure allows me to stay fully involved, highly responsive, and sharply focused on negotiation and strategy.

I do not juggle 30 to 40 clients at the same time.

My priority is not volume—it’s results. It’s protecting equity, positioning a property correctly, and executing a plan that delivers the strongest possible outcome for my clients.

Some people want a Ford.
Others want a Ferrari.

My role is to make sure you understand the difference—and choose the level of precision that fits the importance of your investment.
