Born and raised in Starr, South Carolina, Taylor brings deep roots in Anderson County and an authentic understanding of the communities we serve. As a 2013 graduate of Crescent High School, she knows the Upstate not simply as a real estate market, but as the place where she grew up, built relationships, raised her family, and created a life.
Local Roots and a Heart for People
Family is at the center of Taylor’s life. She is the second of five children, one of thirteen grandchildren, and the devoted mother of an 11-year-old daughter whom she has proudly raised for the past ten years. Their family also includes Benjamin, a spirited miniature Dachshund who brings plenty of personality to their home.
Growing up in a large, close-knit family taught Taylor the importance of loyalty, communication, responsibility, and being present for the people who depend on you. Those same qualities now guide the way she approaches her real estate career and the relationships she builds with clients.
Taylor understands that buying or selling a home is rarely just a financial transaction. A home can represent security, independence, family traditions, a fresh start, or the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Her goal is to help clients move through those important transitions with confidence and the reassurance that someone is paying attention to every detail.
Experience Behind the Closing Table
Taylor joins Locke & Key Associates with professional experience that gives her a valuable perspective on the real estate process.
She previously worked in a real estate law office as a post-closing specialist and closing assistant. In that role, Taylor gained firsthand experience with the contracts, documentation, deadlines, and legal details involved in successfully completing a real estate transaction.
While many buyers and sellers only see what happens before and during closing, Taylor also understands the important work that continues behind the scenes. Her experience has taught her how crucial accuracy, organization, communication, and timely follow-through are throughout the entire process.
This knowledge will be an important asset to Taylor’s clients as she helps them navigate everything from their first questions about the market to the day they receive their keys or complete the sale of their property.
A Diverse Professional Background
Before entering real estate, Taylor gained experience in several industries that strengthened her ability to work with people, solve problems, and remain composed during important moments.
She worked in printing and packaging at First Quality, where precision, consistency, and attention to detail were essential. Taylor also earned a degree in Funeral Service from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Decatur, Georgia.
Her education in funeral service helped develop an even greater sense of compassion, professionalism, discretion, and emotional awareness. It also taught her how to listen carefully and support families as they make significant decisions.
Those qualities translate naturally into real estate. Every client’s circumstances are different, and Taylor recognizes the importance of meeting people where they are, listening to what they truly need, and helping them make informed decisions without unnecessary pressure.
Connected to the Anderson Community
Many people throughout Anderson County may already recognize Taylor from her years working with the public, including her time at The Galley Restaurant at Portman Marina.
Working in hospitality allowed Taylor to meet people from across the Upstate and form lasting connections throughout the community. It reinforced her belief that outstanding service is not complicated—it begins with listening, being dependable, treating people with respect, and making them feel genuinely welcome.
Taylor’s local relationships and knowledge of the Anderson area will be especially valuable to clients who want to work with someone who understands the personalities and lifestyles of the communities surrounding Anderson, Starr, Lake Hartwell, and the Western Upstate.
Discipline, Strength, and Perseverance
Taylor also brings an extraordinary level of personal discipline to her work.
As a former member of the National Physique Committee, she dedicated herself to competitive bodybuilding and earned first place in her class at a competition in Columbia, South Carolina.
Preparing for that accomplishment required consistency, sacrifice, organization, resilience, and the ability to continue working toward a goal even when the process became difficult. Those characteristics remain an important part of who Taylor is today.
Real estate transactions can sometimes present unexpected challenges. Taylor’s determination and steady approach help her remain focused on the desired result while continuing to advocate for the people she serves.
Life Beyond Real Estate
When Taylor is not working, she is usually spending time with her daughter and extended family. She enjoys relaxing beside her family’s pool, boating, reading, and going to the gym.
She is happiest near the water and surrounded by the people she loves—something many Upstate residents can certainly understand.
Her appreciation for family, home, recreation, and community gives Taylor a natural connection to the clients she serves. She understands that people are not simply searching for bedrooms, bathrooms, and square footage. They are looking for the setting where their lives will unfold.
